Accessibility is designing a website for people with disabilities. However, it extends beyond just that. It is also about making a website accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of their internet connection, browser, or disability.
So, as a business person, what does this mean to you and why is it important? In other words, why should you care? Simple, if your site meets even the lowest level of accesibility guidelines, it will rank better with search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN just to name a few. After all, their automated bots, for all intents and purposes, are blind.
